Getting Started

Install Arkitec

1. Download the Arkitec desktop app.
2. Install it on your machine.
3. Launch the app.

Sign in to your account

1. On launch, sign in with your Arkitec account.
2. Complete the authentication flow.
3. Wait for Arkitec to finish loading your workspace shell.

Connect a model provider

Before starting your first serious session, connect at least one provider in Settings > Model Providers.

Typical setup:

1. Open Settings.
2. Select Model Providers.
3. Choose the provider you want to use.
4. Complete the sign-in or API key flow.
5. Return to the workspace.

Open a workspace folder

1. From the empty state, click Open Folder.
2. Choose the local folder you want Arkitec to work in.
3. Wait for the workspace to load.

Reach the chat window

After your workspace opens and a provider is connected, Arkitec takes you to the main workbench.

At this point you should be able to see:

• the chat area
• the composer
• the workspace context
• the main app navigation

That is the point where setup is complete and you can start your first session.
